
Paul E. Jennings, MDBoard-Certified Orthopaedic Surgeon
Paul E. Jennings, M.D., a native of Galveston, is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon with over 20 years of experience. In January, 2009, he joined Hill Country Sports Medicine in San Marcos. Prior to relocating to the Central Texas area, he practiced in Houston and Alice. Dr. Jennings will provide a full range of orthopedic services, including the treatment of worker’s compensation injuries. He also worked with the U.S. Olympic Team in Mobile, Alabama, helping out nation's finest athletes reach their fullest potential.
He received his Bachelor and Master of Arts Degree from the University of Texas at Austin. Dr. Jennings received his Medical Degree from the University of Texas Medical School in Houston. His orthopaedic residency includes training at the Texas Medical Center, in Houston, including M.D. Anderson, Hermann, and the Shriner's Hospitals in Houston and Shreveport, Louisiana. He is a life member of the Shriners, helping crippled children.
Dr. Jennings is a member of the American Association of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the American Society of Sports Medicine, the American Medical Association, the Texas Orthopaedic Association and the Texas Medical Association. He received the American Medical Association’s Physician’s Recognition Award in both 1989 and 2000.
His wife, Josie, is also involved in healthcare. She owns and operates her own company, ABC Disposal, which manages medical sharps in a cost efficient manner for doctors, surgery centers and hospitals. They have two sons in college. In his free time, Dr. Jennings enjoys scuba diving, skiing, woodworking and cultivating Plumeria trees, the source of the Hawaiian Lei flower.
They look forward to making many friends in the San Marcos area, and becoming active in the community events.
